Your Reunion Committee has put together a fantastic hotel package – better than we had ever imagined we’d get.
Our hotel is the Wingate by Wyndham Savannah Airport. It is located about 15 minutes northwest of downtown Savannah at the airport exit on I-95. Address is 50 Sylvester C. Formey Drive, Savannah, GA 31408.
The facility is smoke-free.
Room rate is $69.00/night plus tax or ($77.97/night including the stiff 13% sales tax). This is about $30.00 less per night than other hotels in the same area. The same room rate is offered for up to 3 days prior to and 3 days following the 3-night block. Room choices are either 2 Queen beds, or one King bed, both at the $69.00/night rate. Up to two pets are allowed for an additional charge of $25.00/night.
Free shuttle service is provided by the hotel to and from the nearby Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
Make reservations by calling the hotel directly at 912-544-1180 and mention the 92nd Assault Helicopter Company to get the group rate. Calling the hotel directly is the only way to get the group rate!!!!!!!!
We have arranged a meeting room with 80-person seating capacity at no cost. Thursday and Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight and Sunday from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. (Other hotels wanted $300/day.)
We may bring food and beverages of our own choice (alcohol specifically included) into the hotel, including the meeting/hospitality room with no additional charge, “corkage fee, or “bartender fee”. (This is exceptional! Other hotels either didn’t permit this at all, or wanted megabucks to allow.)
We may set up a horseshoe tournament on the hotel grounds and openly consume our own food and beverages, but alcoholic beverages must be in “open containers”, plastic cups less than 16 oz.

GOLF !!
Guys,
Mike Lobb has contacted the Crosswinds Golf Course which is only a half mile from the hotel and provided the following information:
They have set aside a block of times for a 9:00 AM shotgun start on Friday morning 10/11 for as many as 30 golfers. That time would have us finishing up no later than 1:30 or 2:00. Maybe too many slots, but had to start somewhere. They are currently quoting a rate of $46 per golfer although I think I can negotiate that down. Just need to determine how many would be interested and then firm things up as we get closer to date.

Friday Night Low-Country Shrimp Broil at the Pavilion
This will be a casual gathering to enjoy good food and comraderie.
